What an awesome day for Sisters on Samui and the local community: last Friday we received a delivery of over ONE TON of Nestlé’s Carnation 1+ powder milk!!
The 1224 bags at 900g each will be donated to approximately 200 children in the SOS-supported camps.
A massive heartfelt THANK YOU to Nestlé Thailand for this generous donation and to Swiss Ambassador Helene Budliger Artieda and her staff for helping us to get in touch with the right people to make this happen.
A big shout out also to our Swiss Sisters Maya and Sandy. It was this mother-daughter-duo, who stepped up and followed through with the idea to ask the Embassy of Switzerland for help reaching out to the (originally) Swiss Company Nestlé. What seemed like a long shot, will now make many families on Samui very happy, what a fantastic outcome!
This is a great motivation for us to continue our efforts to engage large companies, hotels etc. in charity work.
Desperately needed for donation are literally anything from food, toiletries and household items, to fabric, bedsheets and even building materials. If you are in a position to help, please don’t hesitate to contact us on info@sistersonsamui.org.
Thank you Maya, Sandy this will make such a difference to so many families with babies where mums are struggling.
Thank you Nestle for caring.
