Local Matters now 3.5 years old. It helps a person or cause in need each month. In August we supported Red Cross with their community outreach to the value of THB 9,660 for shower chairs, commodes and adult diapers.
We also assisted a mum in need for some dry food items to the value of THB 478.
The Tesebaan Ladies a charity group created through local government helping locals in need and too focuses on Koh Samui Hospital support. This month in honour of Her Majesty the Queen Mothers birthday, they hosted an event at Nathon. SOS Supported their Fundraising Raffle by donating 3 x TV’s to the value of THB 29,970.
Two of our own Sisters helped us raise THB 10,000, Marieke the former General Manager of Six Senses Samui, now working and living back in Europe had a Pilates reformer looking for a new home on Samui and Mel Reilly bought this from her, both agreed that part of the sale had to go to Local Matters support by SOS. Thankyou ladies for supporting us with a THB 10,000 donation.
