feed Samui update – march 2022

In March 2022 our #FeedSamui volunteers took 563 food packages out to Thai & Burmese families in need – delivering 1915kg of rice,  1268 tins of fish, 1313 bags of noodles, 594 eggs, 63 bags of milk formula, plus various toiletries, clothes, nappies and face masks.  Many of these going to families in isolation due to Covid.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 2 years since the start of the #FeedSamui program in March 2020.  Again, our thanks to the donors and volunteers who make it all possible.

You can donate online now, to help us provide food packages to families in need on Samui.

During March 2022, we delivered food packages to many families who were in isolation – with or without Covid.

It’s contactless delivery, many we never meet, just a wave through a window, a phone call, while we drop and leave.

Kop Khun Kha to the kids at the International School of Samui (ISS) for their donation to Sisters on Samui.

The Primary Charity Club at ISS made Halloween bookmarks and organised a Christmas card competition. Some of the kids also donated some of their own pocket money to raise 10,000 THB for Sisters on Samui and the #FeedSamui campaign.

These funds will provide food hampers to 50 Thai & Burmese families in need.  Each food hamper includes rice, canned fish, instant noodles and sometimes eggs. Food staples for a family for a week.
