Our Events and Fundraising page gives you a peek into the fun and community-driven gatherings we host all year round.
Throughout the year, we bring the community together with a variety of fun and meaningful events, all aimed at raising funds for our outreach programs. Whether it’s our monthly Ladies Lunches, the delicious Tastes of Samui market, or SOS+ cocktail nights where partners join in, there’s always something happening. We also mix it up with wellness events like yoga and breathwork, casual coffee mornings at the Marketplace by SOS, and big celebrations like the Christmas Bazaar and our own craft market.
Every event is a chance to connect, have fun, and make a difference together.

Our Monthly Ladies Lunches bring women together for fun, friendship, and great food while raising funds to support our community outreach programs and make a positive impact on Koh Samui. Held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Wellness Events
Our Wellness events – including yoga, breathwork, sound healing and mindfulness sessions – offer an opportunity for relaxation and connection, while raising funds to support the community.
Tastes of Samui
A vibrant culinary market hosted by Secret Garden, featuring local flavors and live music, held annually. Enjoy delicious food, connect with the community, and help raise funds for SOS.
Charity Quiz Night
The annual charity quiz night is a lively event full of friendly competition and community spirit, uniting participants for a fun night out to raise funds for SOS outreach programs on Koh Samui.
Christmas Lunch
The SOS Ladies Christmas Lunch is a festive gathering filled with holiday cheer, delicious food, and live music – supporting community outreach efforts through generous donations and raffle proceeds.
SOS+1 events
SOS+1 events are a great opportunity to gather together with partners, husbands, and neighbors for cocktails and canapés, enjoying a fun evening out while connecting with our wider community.
International Womens Day
Once a year, we come together for afternoon tea – to celebrate and empower women, share inspiring stories, and raise funds to support our community outreach programs.
Samui Summer Jazz
Samui Summer Jazz brings world-class musicians to the island for an unforgettable evening of live jazz. Enjoy a great night out while supporting our Music in Schools program.
Life Admin Events

Celebrating 25 years of SOS
In October 2022, Sisters on Samui turned 25. From a lunch for five ladies at the Santiburi Resort in October 1997 who would have thought, it would still be going 25+ years strong. The bond of women gathering to share a meal, with a charitable cause in mind has stood the test of time.
During our “1920’s Gatsby themed” celebation at TEMBO, we paid tribute to key figures who played pivotal roles in our journey. Founding members and leaders such as Jo Cooke, Lindsey Western, Shelley Poplak, Sue Holehouse, and Juliette Burrows were honored for their unwavering commitment and visionary leadership over the past quarter-century. With the achievement of Foundation status in May 2021, the SOS board recognised these remarkable individuals as Sisters on Samui Lifetime Ambassadors. Their contributions as volunteers, mentors, and advocates have left an indelible mark on our organisation. As we celebrated their legacy, the evening was filled with heartfelt appreciation and nostalgia.
Guests were invited to partake in the festivities and join us in commemorating 25 years of friendship and community outreach on Koh Samui. The event featured a stellar lineup of entertainment, including performances by the Free Peace Band, DJ, DIVA Cabaret, Fire Show, and Jules Sax Man. Attendees indulged in a stylish dinner buffet, participated in a raffle, and raised a toast to the enduring spirit of sisterhood.
